Who is this redhead?

Hi! I’m Hannah Magy, a Chicago-based comedian, actress, and writer who thrives in character-driven comedy and ambitious, collaborative work. I’ve understudied both The Second City’s ETC and Mainstage, and I’ve appeared in Oy, The Annoyance Theatre’s beloved, three-years-running holiday sketch show. I was also part of Joystick, iO Theater’s 2025 resident sketch writing team, an artist-in-residence–style role, where we wrote and performed four original shows under four different directors.

I’ve performed on iO house teams Kismet and Feast, and I’m a member and producer of JUICY, an all-female improv troupe known for its gossip-based comedy shows. I’m one half of the musical and sketch comedy duo Jaffe & Magy, where we’ve written and performed five two-person shows together. I’ve also performed comedic burlesque in a wide range of characters, blending comedy and sensuality.

As an actress and voice actor signed with Grossman & Jack Talent, I love work that lives in heightened comedy whether that’s voicing a cartoon character or playing a leading lady in a comedy pilot. And I’m equally excited by grounded, dramatic roles and commercial work. I’d love the opportunity to be a brand spokesperson!

I’m a character comedian online as well, with 40,000 followers on Instagram who engage with my original content, and I’m open to collaborations that align with my voice and audience! I am well known for my Lois Griffin impression, which can be requested on CAMEO.

On the business side, I’ve interned with Steppenwolf Theatre Company in their Lookout Producing Department, and I’m a pilot and sketch writer who co-founded TeaseAndResist.com, a platform for satirical pieces and personal essays by local writers and comics.

Coming up, I hope to audition for Saturday Night Live and the Just for Laughs Festival! My ultimate dream role is playing Barbra Streisand in a biopic about her life. So, if you have a connection, let’s make that happen! I sing, dance, act, write, and produce (and yes, I have the admin skills to back it all up).
